Visceral Osteopathy
Visceral Osteopathy (affecting internal organs) improves the motility (independent movement) and mobility (movability) of the internal organs . Internal organs can be damaged directly by injuries but also as a result of inadequate attempts by the body to compensate.
Manual techniques are intended to treat functional limitations of the organs and associated symptoms.
The goals of Visceral Osteopathic intervention techniques can be summarized as follows:
- Pain relief and reduction of other symptoms
- Functional improvement or improvement of functional movement
- Improving blood and nutrient supply to the affected organs
- Improvement of oxygen and nutrient supply at the cellular level
- Optimization of fluid drainage via the lymphatic and vascular system
- Modification of reflex patterns and altered reflex thresholds
- Improvement of disturbed nerve functions (central and autonomic nervous system)
- Optimization of immune function and the body's response to stress
