Hypnosis

Hypnosis is a state in which a person is in a sleep-like, completely relaxed state (the ancient Greek word “hypnos” means sleep).

During hypnosis, conscious attention changes towards deep relaxation.

The Hypnotherapist can use this state and activate personal strengths and coping strategies via the patient's subconscious that the patient does not use in everyday life. Hypnosis can therefore be used to help solve physical or psychological problems.

Hypnosis can be used as follows:

  • Reduction of chronic & acute pain
  • Anxiety and panic attacks
  • Addictions (alcohol, drugs, cigarettes)
  • Phobias
  • Optimization of immune function and the body's response to stress
  • Burnout
  • Depression
  • Resolving traumas
  • Self-esteem issues
  • and much more

How long does hypnosis last?

A post-hypnotic suggestion can often remain effective for years without refreshing. Some behavioral patterns are consolidated through repeated sessions, while some suggestions only need to be refreshed after a longer period of time.

Hypnosis, what does scientific research say about it?
